Balliang Tree January

The colours of an Aussie summer feel ingrained in me, like the hues of hard times.  Like the productive days we endure and the hours we need to stand strong and keep on going.

As I view this photograph I also can’t help considering the past and what was here before, in this paddock not so long ago.  And I wonder what will happen when this tree’s gone?

Will anybody notice, apart from me?

(2017, Balliang, south west of Melbourne)
