In the Chestnut Orchard…..
I can’t help marveling at the colour, form and gesture in these landscape figures, they tantilise the senses like French impressionist paintings. Since Australia lacks native deciduous trees on the mainland, we have to find them in places like this. I’ve photographed this orchard each year since 2018 as the branches find themselves bare in the transition from autumn to winter.
